Our journey with Doxies began in 2003
We aim to produce healthy, high-quality Dachshund puppies with excellent conformation and temperament. You can draw your own conclusions by learning more about us and our Dachshund puppies. On Mother’s Day, our daughter came home with a small paper bag in her hand. I noticed it moving as she walked up the hill. She handed it to me and said, “Happy Mother’s Day.” When I opened the bag, I discovered a black “spotted” puppy.
I had never seen a puppy like that before, so I asked her what breed it was. She replied, “Why, Mama, it’s a silver dapple Dachshund.” To me, it was quite an unusual-looking little creature since we had always had Poodles!

We named the puppy Oakley.
Now I realize that she was a smooth coat black and tan silver dapple. That little girl captured our hearts, and it has been nothing but Doxies for us ever since. We decided to share our newfound love and joy with others, leading to the creation of Louie’s Dachshunds.
They are such an integral part of our lives that we can’t imagine being without them.
Our goal is to produce healthy, high-quality Doxies with excellent conformation and temperament. We strive to breed them as closely to the standard as possible. We want you to be as happy with your Doxie as we were with Oakley.
